Do you ever sit near a fireplace wrapped up in cashmere, breath in the warmth and remember how you used to gossip with your friend on a chilled winter night?
Flip through the pages of an old book from the shelve, sniff in and remember how you used to roll in the blanket like a little sushi on a rainy day and all you had to do was to read. Or ever walked passed by a freshly cut garden and remember playing in the field as a kid on a summer’s day?
No matter what the scent is, its link with memory is always powerful. The draw is so vigorous that more than often it lets me ram through all the flashbacks from people I’ve met and places I’ve been. The fact is unbiasedly relatable among us all. It’s relatable how we all love to smell nice. It’s relatable how a memory from the past can lingers through our skin and evokes the memory and emotions. It’s relatable how the places we’ve been to were dramatically stunning that we wanted to plea the time to pause!
Nothing brings to life again a forgotten memory like a fragrance.
Fragrance can be special in so many ways. It’s also an essential requisite complement to any personality, “the finishing touch” they say! To me, people who wear fragrance are the most attractive-kind of people.
Christian Dior says; “Long after one has forgotten what a woman wore, the memory of her perfume lingers.”
As a child, as I would rehears for practicing being Audrey Hepburn wearing aromas for play when no one would watch around became my obsession as I grew up. The practice of wearing the best scents has now become a part of my daily beauty regime. I love wearing perfume even if I’m just in the garden or walking around in the house.
“If you want to run back to good old times, just spritz on some musk or delicate floral notes and turn back time.”
